Biology engages students in the study of life and living organisms and examines biology and biochemistry in the real world. This is a yearlong course that encompasses traditional concepts in biology and encourages exploration of new discoveries in this field of science. The components include biochemistry, cell biology, cell processes, heredity and reproduction, the evolution of life, taxonomy, human body systems, and ecology. This course includes both hands-on wet labs and virtual lab options.  All students enrolled in this course are required to attend the weekly on-site wet labs. These labs provide reinforcement and practical applications of content learned throughout the course.

The Smartfox credit recovery classes balance the mastery expectations of all Smartfox courses with the flexibility needed by students who didn't quite get it the first time around and need more support and a second try!
