Geometry builds on concepts learned in Algebra 1 and provides opportunities for students to make connections between skills learned in each course. Students are introduced to the basic elements of geometry and transition to proofs, parallel and perpendicular lines, the coordinate plane, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, congruence and similarity, surface area, volume, and transformations.
